Swami Rock sits directly below Koneswaram temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. Hindu deity statues rest on the rock at depth, half-covered in coral. You hover in front of a carved figure while a school of snapper drifts past. It is one of the most unusual dives in the country.
Learn more →Pigeon Island is a national park. The reef is protected, and you see the difference immediately. The coral is thick, the fish are bold, and the blacktip reef sharks that move along the outer wall are not bothered by divers. One of the best beginner reef dives in Sri Lanka.
Learn more →The Navy Museum is an artificial reef built from decades of accumulated maritime history. Old anchors, cannons, chains, and propellers have settled on the sandy bottom and grown thick with coral. It is an unusual and atmospheric dive with strong macro photography.
