Is Coral Garden used for training dives?

Yes, it's where most Open Water Diver students complete their ocean training dives, and it's where we take Discover Scuba Diving guests for their first underwater experience. The shallow, calm conditions make it ideal for learning without distracting from the reef life.

Is the coral at Coral Garden actually healthy?

Better than most. The bay's water temperature and protected location have helped preserve the reef. We've dived it for 15 years and, while there's some bleaching in the shallowest sections, the main bommies are in genuinely good health.

About this dive site

Coral Garden is our closest site, 8 minutes by boat from Sandy Cove. This is where most students complete their open-water training dives. The coral bommies are in good health. Parrotfish feed right in front of you. Turtles are frequent in the shallows.
