About the Try Diving + Whale Watching
Never dived before? This is the easiest way to see what Trincomalee is really about. You'll start with a Discover Scuba session: a short briefing, some practice in shallow water, then a guided dive on the reef with one of our PADI instructors right beside you.
On another outing you'll snorkel a coral reef, then head out by boat for a whale and dolphin watching trip. Sightings are never guaranteed, since these are wild animals, but the waters off Trincomalee give you a real chance.
All the gear is included. No experience needed, just be comfortable in the water.

Who can join
Ages 10 and up. No diving experience needed, but you should be comfortable in the water. You'll fill in a short medical form before diving.
Questions about the Try Diving + Whale Watching
Do I need to know how to dive?
No. The Discover Scuba session is made for complete beginners. Your instructor teaches you the basics in shallow water first and stays with you the whole dive.
Will we definitely see whales?
We can't promise that. They're wild animals. Trincomalee gives you a good chance, and dolphins are a common sight on the same trip.
